How long is the lesson?
All lessons are 60 minutes long.
What will I learn?
This is a standard English language course. Depending on how well you know English - we will establish that during the test and your free consultation (or trial lesson) - you will be put on one of five levels:
- Elementary
- Pre-intermediate
- Intermediate
- Upper-intermediate
- Advanced
The materials for these lessons are similar to what you would find in an English language course book. They cover popular topic and teach you necessary skills. During the course you will learn English vocabulary and grammar as well as practice your:
- Speaking
- Reading
- Writing
- Listening
We believe that all of these skills are necessary to master English language. You can, however, choose to concentrate on one particular skill that you find is most important for you at this moment.
How long is the course?
It takes about 90 hours to cover a level. In other words, if you start on lesson 1, Intermediate level, it should take no more than 90 hours to finish the level and move to the Upper-intermediate level. The progress is twice as fast as when studying in a group in a 'traditional' language school.
Of course, everybody is different; have different talents and needs. This is why we don't make you book the whole course. You can book as many lessons in advance as you like. We will monitor your learning and make sure you make a speedy progress.
Do I need to buy a course book?
All materials for the General English courses will be provided by Ad_Lib English. You will not need to buy any additional materials.
Will I get a certificate at the end of the course?
If you would like, we can send you a certificate in a PDF form stating that you have completed a course with Ad_Lib English, having received a give number of hours of English language tuition.
Please be aware, however, that this certificate will not be recognized by schools, universities, and most employers as a valid proof of your English language abilities.
If you need such proof - for example in order to be accepted at a university in the UK or the US - you will need to take one of the internationally recognized exams.

All General English lessons take place 1-to-1 (just you and your tutor).
