Our tutors

All our tutors are native speakers of English. This means that they were born in an English-speaking country and have spoken English all their lives.

That obviously doesn’t mean that every person whose first language is English speaks English well. We only want to learn from well-educated people who don’t make mistakes speaking or writing.

This is why, to become an Ad_Lib English tutor, you need to have a university degree. Many of our tutors have had successful careers in finance, marketing or pharmaceuticals before they turned to teaching.

Lastly, you don’t want a tutor who only speaks English well – you need a tutor who can also teach you what he or she knows.

Our tutors are fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language. They all hold a CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults) certificate - or an equivalent – and have considerable experience teaching both online and offline.
